Our Mission
STAR (Stand Together And Rise) Youth Ministry strives to help young people develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, root them deeply in the teachings of the Catholic faith, and prepare them for a life of service and discipleship. We achieve this by fostering growth in their spiritual journey through opportunities for prayer, education, and service, all within a welcoming and supportive faith community of peers and young mentors. We teach them to pass on Catholic values and share their faith, helping them understand how their faith is relevant to their lives.
What We Do
Our STAR Youth Ministry sessions are a mix of fun and faith-filled activities for students in grades 6 through 12 — including games, music, reflection, community service, saint stories, arts and crafts, and more!
We also enjoy special events and field trips throughout the year, such as:
- Attending the Faith Formation Conference
- Bocce Potlucks
- Visiting St. Mary’s Cathedral in San Francisco
- Volunteering at St. Anthony’s Kitchen
- Ice-skating outings and more!
STAR Youth Ministry nurtures and strengthens our teens with:
- Fun Fellowship-building events
- Service projects
- Faith-strengthening opportunities
- Ongoing faith formation
- Leadership development

Time: After the 10:00 a.m. monthly Family Masses – Pick up at 1:15 p.m.
Location: The Convent, 1111 Magnolia Ave., Millbrae, directly across the church building on Magnolia
Free Lunch: Lunch is provided at every meeting!
