Dear St. Dunstan Families,
Ministering in St Dunstan’s Parish is a labor of love. You, the parishioners are truly remarkable and always amaze me by your faith and trust in the Lord. I’m very honored to be part of your sacred trust. Sometimes you might feel that your individual or collective sacrifices go unnoticed. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for responding so generously in sacrificial love during this past financial year. Additionally, I would like to remind you that your generosity certainly does not go unnoticed by God.
I have always believed that our parish has wonderful and generous parishioners that give freely of their time, talent, and treasure to accomplish and build up our faith community. We have dedicated volunteers that serve our community of faith in different ministries. We have even a greater number who support the work of our parish with financial contributions. Your gifts are truly appreciated.
It is my duty, as pastor, to inform you of how our parish is doing financially. This report runs from July 1st. 2017 to June 30th. 2018. We tend to live from month to month on your donations and try to not overspend. A budget shortfall of $34,280.00 was projected for 17/18 however it came to $63.099.00. This was due to repairs on the church, the sacristy and the sound system. For this we had to withdraw money from our savings account.
We no longer get the proceeds from the Parish Festival. Our fund-raisers now are the Holiday Boutique, Dinner, and the Rummage Sale.
This report, outlines in general terms our revenue and expenses. It also shows how generous you were in all the special collections and the Archbishop’s Appeal.
Once again, thank you for your generous support of our parish.
The report is available in the vestibule of the church and also below.
